main Khayaal huuN kisii aur kaa, mujhe sochataa koii aur hai
sareaaiinaa meraa aks hai, paseaaiinaa koii aur hai

I am somebody else’s thought,but someone else thinks about me,
My image you see is imaginary,the real image is something else.

main kisii ke dastetalab men huuN, to kisii ke harfeduaa men huuN
main nasiib huuN kisii aur kaa, mujhe maaNgataa koii aur hai

I am in somebody’s yearning and someone else’s prayers,
I am somebody’s fate, yet someone else is demanding me
I am somebody else’s thought,but someone else thinks about me

kabhii lauT aayeN to na puuchhanaa, sirf dekhanaa baDe Gaur se
jinhen raaste men Khabar huii ki ye raastaa koii aur hai

If the travellers return, don’t ask, nor stare at them knowingly,
The folks who realized on the way, that this was not the route they wanted.
I am somebody else’s thought,but someone else thinks about me
ajab aitabaarbaaitabaarii ke daramiyaaN hai zindagii
main kariib huuN kisii aur ke, mujhe jaanataa koii aur hai

Strangely caught between believable and unbelievable is life,
I am close to somebody else, someone else knows me really,
I am somebody else’s thought,but someone else thinks about mevahii

munsifon kii rivaayaten, vahii faisalon kii ibaaraten
meraa jurm to koii aur thaa, par merii sazaa koii aur hai

The same false accusations, the same wrong decisions of the court,
I was guilty of something else, yet my punishment is some other,
I am somebody else’s thought,but someone else thinks about me.
